Ohhh life...

1.  I couldn't think of  a more creative title.  I gave blood today, so I'm still a lil sleepy, but I really should  proof my presentation for tomorrow (which I have to drive 5 silly hours for).  I thought this was a good idea to drive down there and back tomorrow, but now, I'm starting to question it. :)

2.  I'm beginning to question if presenting so much is such a good idea.  Next year, I'm limiting myself to two conferences...period.  No more regional or statewide conferences or else I may wear myself out.

3.  I need to take a vacation day during the middle of the week.

4.  Next week is NASPA woo!

5.  I'm going back to number these comments now.

6.  Sarah and I moved back our half marathon until August 29 because the Ogden half filled up really fast.  We're going to register for this one when it opens on March 1st.

7.  I really like my job, but sometimes there is just too much to do.  Other times, there is not enough.  What the heck is that all about?

8.  I seriously wish our state legislature would decide on budget cuts already.  I think the speculation is ridiculous!

9.  I think I need a spa day.  I wonder if there is a cheap-ish spa near by.  Or, maybe I'll eat a roll of cookie dough and call that a spa day. :)

10.  I would like to visit the beach...pronto.

Miss you all and love ya!

Oh, Supervision

I hate being micro-managed. Even more, I hate having to micro-manage the staff I have.

So why, praytell, do I have to every other day? Why is it that they don't GET that their paperwork has deadlines for reasons, that I'm not asking for all these stupid forms for ha-ha's, but that they do have a purpose.

Annoyed. I don't get it.

Urgh.

I'm tired of yelling at students to stop being stupid. Turn your bass down, the entire north side of the building does NOT need to hear Rihanna all night long. Get off your skateboard, you kind of deserved it when I shoved you off of it the other night. Just stop being stupid! End of story.

I also wonder why our live-in graduate assistant can't walk out of her own doorway to tell them to be quiet, but instead texts me to tell my RA on that floor to go talk to them. Um, no. You're the GA for Student Conduct, do it yourself.

I'm really glad this week is over, but really dreading the start of next week too. Two all-hall meetings to discuss the almost-$2,000 worth of damages and cleaning fees my 390 kids have accrued in just two weeks is going to be a blasty blast.

Urgh. I also need to go invest in potty pads 'caus Molly isn't understanding that when I let her out of the crate, she needs to go to the door to tell me she needs out. Hooray for needing to mop the entire house again...

It's Friday. :)
